Posted by Ashley Eisenhauer on

We're so excited to you join us in crafting our signature Yardzee set!  If you don't have your DIY in a BOX yet, click HERE to order yours today!  Also, if you have any questions at all while painting your blocks, click HERE to contact us.

This set of instructions is a bit different in that we're going to give you THREE awesome options to choose from & make your own!

We did one side of each block traditional (white dice with black spots). You can also do fun color combos like red with black spots for ladybug theme! This is a great project to get the whole family involved. You could each paint all the side of one block! We then filled the holes on this block with the Cobalt blue. You could also mix some orange for the dots for some contrast.

We also love the cool summer vibes of the ombre colors. This can be achieved with any of the colors we provided. The example below shows this done in blue. Start with the Cobalt blue on the brush and apply a few strokes at one end of the block. Wet your brush and bring the blue up the side of the block by making strokes from right to left. Clean brush off and do the same with white but start at the opposite end of the block. If you feel the block is now too light in color dip brush back into a small amount of blue and repeat the process. It may take a few tries to get a gradual ombre you love.

Our next design is sure to bring some summer cheer. These flowers are super simple and easy to complete. Paint this side of the block white. Allow a few minuets to dry.

Start with one pink circle for each flower. Then paint a half almond shape for the leaves using the green. Fill in with paint. After pink is dry using white paint, starting in the center of the circle paint a swirl to give your flower petals. Allow some of the flowers and petals to go off the sides of the blocks.

Let your creativity go wild with different patterns and colors. Here is a list of a few other ideas:

-Red, White and Blue

-Sunset ombre (yellow and oranges)

-Fire Works

-Solid colors with the contrasting colors for the dots

Special Note: This set should be kept indoors when not in use.
