First place pumpkin in the bottom of the jar and add twinkle lights. This will allow you to figure our how tall to paint your tree.

Paint the tree by dipping brush into both the black and brown, paint the trunk and branches of the tree. This is going to take at least two coats to be a nice rich dark color.

Add spider webs from the tree trunk to the ground and another web from the tree branches. We then added a hanging spider. Keep it simple and use the tiny brush to add those little creepy legs.

Using the light and dark green add grass along the bottom of the jar. We dipped the smallest brush into both the light and dark green to paint individual lines all along the bottom.

Paint a pumpkin by dipping the flat brush in both the orange and the brown. Allow the colors to streak and not make one solid color. The pumpkin will look more real, having more variations in color.

Add highlights around the edges using the black or brown and paint a stem as well.

You can also add bats to fill the jars empty space above the pumpkin. And if you feel the jar is still too empty you can add more trees. The jar will look better with the more items it has on it. Add the handle by opening the clasp and putting it below the ridges to allow the jar topper to screw on. Remember the lights will only illuminate when the switch is on and the jar is in complete darkness.

Special Note: Lantern should be kept indoors when not in use or charging.
